The 2019 Rhody Parade

You’re Welcome to Join Us!

Our participants and their humans pose with Her Majesty from our 2018 parade.

We always have a great time, and the parade ends in a cake picnic.

We are number 61 in a parade of 98 entries. Our staging location is on the east (water) side of 1700s block of Lawrence, between Calhoun and Cass. This is 4 blocks from the start line at Lawrence and Harrison.

Map Here

The parade starts at 1:00 p.m., we are typically 30 to 45 minutes down the line. If you want, it’s easy to meet us as we walk up Lawrence to the intersection of Harrison where the parade officially starts.

The parade is a little over a mile in length and two-thirds is a gradual downhill walk.

Billie Jean Wins Big in Puyallup

My girl “Billie Jean” GCH Stillwater Style finished her AKC Grand Championship in Puyallup, WA, last weekend by winning Select Bitch on Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday, she also won second place in the National Owner Handler Series group competition. What a weekend!

The 2018 Rhody Parade

It’s history and it was a blast. When you hear from each block ahead, “Oh look! The Corgis are coming!” it makes me smile. The crowd was fun and we love the kids who always ask if they can pet us. We always say, “YES! OF COURSE!”

Save the date for next year:
Saturday, May 18, 2019!

“Off To Rhodyland”

The 2018 Port Townsend Rhody Parade

Join the “Quimper Corgi Clan” for this fun event!

Weather for Saturday afternoon, May 19th will be clear and cool.

We are number 54 in 110 entries. The parade starts at 1:00, we think we’ll be at the parade start (Lawrence & Harrison) by about 1:30. We’ll post our staging area as soon as we get it on Saturday. The easiest way is to join us on Lawrence near the Firehouse, or just jump in with your Corgi.

Feel free to forward this to other Corgis and their owners.

There’s nothing like hearing from the block ahead, “Oh look! Corgis!”

All well-behaved Corgis and owners are welcome.

Try to avoid “flexi-leads” please.

Billie Jean & Egon Win Big!

Egon and his littermate Billie Jean have both won their AKC Championships! Billie Jean won hers at the Whidby Island Kennel Club shows in November by winning Winners Bitch. Egon won his in grand style in September by going Best of Breed and then finishing with a Fourth Place in the Herding Group at the Timberland Dog Fanciers’ shows in Chehalis, WA. I’m really proud of them. Their mother is “Whimsey” CH Stillwater Caprice. Egon and Billie Jean were bred by Mary Day of Stillwater Pembroke Welsh Corgis in Olympia, WA. Egon is owned and loved by Josh and Alicia. Thank you, Josh and Alicia, for letting us show this fun, handsome boy.

Fun at the Rhody Parade!

We had a ball at this year’s Port Townsend Rhody Grand Parade. 18 Corgis from all over the Sound marched with us. It was fun hearing from each block ahead, “Oh look! Corgis!”

Bring your humans and walk with us next year, May 19, 2018.
